These are small cups with longer stems at the bottom for easy insertion and removal. The cups are made of soft silicon with lubrication for smooth and easy insertion. The cups get fitted inside the vagina through vaginal opening (Labia). You can stretch your legs or sit in a squat position for easy insertion. Keep the cups at 45 ͦangle for easily insertion. It may take some time for first time users. Make sure you always wash your hands before and after placing the cups. Take off the cups after every 3-4 hours during heavy flow and after 5-6 hours during lighter flow.
Step 1: Wash your hands before and after application of menstrual cup with proper soap or hand wash.
Step 2: Take a menstrual cup and open it from the wrapper. The cups are soft and made of Silicon with proper lubrication for easy insertion.
Step 3: Fold the cup properly in such a size that its insertion becomes quite easy.
Step 4: Open your legs wide either in squat position sitting on commode or you can place one leg firmly to the ground and the other one on the commode this will help to spread the vaginal opening easily.
Step 5: Place menstrual cup slowly into the vaginal opening by spreading labia. Make sure you have an idea of the right hole. There are 3 holes in all, first one is the urethral opening for pee, second is vaginal opening for period flow and the third one is anus. Our target is the middle one that is vaginal opening.
Step 6: Let the cups open inside the vagina and the flow of blood gets collected over it.
